Also Featuring Glock Annual

I intentionally left off mentioning the “Glock Annual” publication from my last post about “Glock Autopistols” so that I could create another post to highlight this publication as well. The two magazines are identical from a content perspective and only differ in their covers, but have run in parallel since 1995.

I have not ever discovered the rationale behind running the two different covers/names so if anyone knows the backstory, I would love to hear from you.

Another interesting facet, at least when it comes to collectibles, is that the Glock Autopistols version seems to bring more money for the same year compared to the Glock Annual. As I’ve attempted to get one of each year, I’ve also noticed that some years are everywhere and some are impossible to find hard copies–and I’m not just talking about the early issues where there was likely a smaller print number. 2007 Glock Annual is perpetually listed on eBay and gunbroker, while 2009 took almost two years to find (and then I got two… go figure).

None of these publications bring a tremendous amount of money at this point, unless perhaps you can find a 1995 issue of either–but it’s still a fun way to get involved with collecting for much less than the cost of the firearms featured. And by the way, each year features a full catalogue of Glock offerings so if you are trying to collect rare variants, this is a great way to find out what was actually produced.

Hi there! Awesome website by the way. I was trying to figure out how to contact you and this seems the only way. Do you know if glock ever produced a Glock 17 RTF2 with straight serrations that has all the hallmarks (save the caliber) on the SIDE of the locking block like the rest of the 2010/pre2010 glocks? ie: Serial, G, Pentagon, sometimes a 1 and so forth but on the SIDE not the top of the barrel block..?

I saw this on ebay and I think it is the European early version?

I think you are right James–and obviously the seller knows it’s a rare item at his listed price.
