CZ000US

There has been a lot of speculation and theorizing about how Gaston Glock originally wanted to memorialize his creation. There has also been a lot of observations and postulations about serial numbers ending in “000.” One of the overlapping theories that emerged over time is that Gaston used to hoard all the “000” serial numbers for his personal collection. It’s really impossible to know if that is the case unless the company decides to start releasing more production records or even hiring a company historian. But in any case, I recently purchased this 000 beauty from the CZ prefix. It’s also never been confirmed whether 000 was the first gun of a lot or the last, but either way I’m a collector or unique serial numbers (my favorites being the “666” variety LOL). This one came complete with matching tupperware, original manual, and period correct accessories, and also came at a reasonable price considering the pandemic and escalated prices of collectibles over the last year and a half.

While I have absolutely no concrete evidence of whether Gaston hoarded the “000” guns in the early days, I’m still delighted to be the proud owner of at least one such gen 1!
